The Kawartha Lakes are a chain of lakes in south-central Ontario in the middle of the Trent Severn Waterway bringing tourist from all over to the quaint towns located along it’s shores.
Bobcaygeon is a beautiful community located at Lock 32 on the Trent Severn Waterway also known as the “Hub of the Kawarthas” and was also the first lock to be built in 1833. The town is situated on three islands, between Pigeon Lake & Sturgeon Lake. The village was incorporated in 1876 and over the years has drawn many tourists through its fishing and cottage industries. Now, Bobcaygeon is a well known retirement community and shopping destination and thrives throughout the summer with the many cottagers and tourists that venture into the community.

Pigeon Lake gives lots to explore, giving access into 5 lakes without locking through, you can easily visit neighbouring communities by boat, such as Buckhorn, Curve Lake and Bridgenorth. Fishing for largemouth and smallmouth Bass, Musky & Walleye are great on Pigeon Lake. Many homes, cottages and waterfront communities are located along the shores of this lake.
Sturgeon Lake is known for it’s excellent waterfront and fishing and connects Bobcaygeon to Fenelon Falls, Lindsay and Sturgeon Point. Many large homes and cottages are along Sturgeon Lake.
